Brook finally pulled off a home victory for their supporters with a win over fellow strugglers Featherstone Lions.
The home side went in front on 8 minutes when Jordan Darwin chimed in from Full Back to score wide out on the left with Aaron Hewitt adding a superb touchline conversion.
The Lions came back strong and Brook did well to hold onto their lead with dogged defending holding up the Featherstone attack on three occasions after crossing the try line.
After weathering the storm Brook took control of the game with Danny Fairhurst crossing for three tries in 8 minutes. His first on 20 minutes came from an attacking scrum close to the line when he went blind from the scrum and crossed despite the attention of a couple of defenders. His second came 4 minutes later when Fairhurst was on hand to finish acrobatically talking an inside pass from Jack Parker close to the line.
Parker was involved again as Danny Fairhurst completed his hattrick by supporting a break down the middle to score under the posts. Aaron Hewitt converted all three tries as Brook built up a 24-0 lead.
Featherstone got themselves back into the game with two unconverted tries before half time firstly winger Joe Powell finished off a flowing move with a try in the corner and then Danny Glassell stretched out to score following a Brook error.
The comeback on was when The Lions scored a try in the opening minute of the Second Half. It was Scrum Half Jake Perkins who took advantage of another error picking up a loose ball to race away and score Ian Jackson converted to reduce the arrears to only 10 points.
Brook weren’t in the mood to give this one up though and increased their lead on 50 minutes It was Scott Davidson who bust clear on half way he found Jordan Darwin in support who raced under the posts leaving Aaron Hewitt with an easy conversion.
The Lions would not lie down and got back within two converted tries when Steve Lawrie scored their fourth try on 55 minutes.
The home side put the game to bed with 8 minutes remaining when they created an overlap on the right-hand side for Craig Littler to score in the corner with Hewitt adding his Sixth conversion from as many attempts.
Danny Glassell added his second try with 2 minutes remaining with Ian Jackson converting but it was just a consolation as Brook held on the victory.
Strong Running Second Rower Scott Davidson was the Heatrek Man of the Match ahead of Aaron Hewitt while Hattrick Hero Danny Fairhurst picked up the Players Man of the Match.
