Blackbrook’s season ended in glory with a Top 4 Grand Final win over Hindley in front of a large crowd at Victoria Park in Warrington.
It was the Wigan outfit who struck first when after just 2 minutes Winger Connor Law cut inside his defender to score an unconverted try.
Brook responded on 10 minutes following good work from Reece Jackson and Lewis Gartland they made the space for Jordan Darwin to join the attack he found Bobby Williams who had too much pace for the defence as he raced under the posts to score with Aaron Hewitt adding the extras to edge his side in front.
Brooks forwards led by Jack Wilson and Jack Cottington backed up by Cammy Tunstall had taken control of the game allowing for Lewis Gartland and Ian Honey to exploit the spaces in midfield.
Brook increased their lead deservedly on 23 minutes when Jordan Darwin cut inside from the left hand side he mesmerized the Hindley defenders going over for an unconverted try.
Brook introduced Ant Walker Lewis Martin and Liam Jackson from the bench as the pack continued their dominance and on 32 minutes they increased their lead following a powerful break down the middle from Cammy Tunstall he was supported by Lewis Gartland who finished in style to extend the lead to 14-4.
Right on half time Brook were awarded a penalty 40 metres out Aaron Hewitt duly obliged with a great kick to extend the lead further at the interval.
Blackbrook kept the momentum going into the early stages of the second period a Jack Cottington break had them camped out on the Hindley try line again Brook switched play from left to right and their speed of play was too much for the Wiganers as Jordan Darwin found Aaron Hewitt who scored in the corner and also added a superb touch line conversion.
On the Hour mark champagne rugby brought about Brooks fifth try and Bobby Williams his second a move involving several players which started in their own half was finished when Williams took an audacious Jordan McManus pass to score with Hewitt again converting from the touchline.
Credit to Hindley they rallied with the game seemingly beyond them and scored two tries in 5 Minutes hard working ex-Brooker Josh Donaghue scored a converted try before Connor Law added his second.
Brook saved the best moment for the final play of the game Ant Walker burst clear of Hindleys tiring defence he found Ian Honey who was playing his final game of his illustrious career Honey touched down under the posts just before being mobbed by his team mates. Aaron Hewitt brought the game to an end with his 5th goal of the Afternoon.
Ant Walker was selected as The Heatrek Man of the Match with Ian Honey taking the Tisdalls Players Man of the Match.
