Brook recovered from an early set back to reach the Quarter Final of the BARLA National Cup following an 11 try classic at Boardmans Lane.
Fryston took an early lead when full back Jae Priest broke clear from deep inside his own half to cross in the corner for an unconverted try.
The home side were soon level following a Fryston error Brook had the advantage of an attacking scrum Cammy Tunstall quickly moved the ball out to the right where Mike Wynn found Cameron Birkett who bundled his over in the corner to level the scores.
It was Mike Wynn himself who gave Brook the lead on 13 minutes with a superb individual try leaving several defenders in his wake as he broke clear from halfway to score beneath the posts with Jordan Darwin adding the extras.
On the half hour mark it was all level Fyston winger Jake McDonald cut inside and found a gap in Brook’s defence to score a well taken try in the corner Andy Speake added the goal and it was 10 points all.
With half time approaching Brook was piling the pressure on the visitors try line following a couple of repeat sets. Just as seemed Fyrston had kept Brook at bay Danny Fairhurst somehow wriggled out a tackle to plunge over by the posts Darwins goal gave his side a 6 point advantage going into the interval.
Brook doubled their lead 2 minutes into the second half following good work from Luke Marsh Loose Forward Reece Jackson went on a rampaging run knocking off several would be defenders and produced a neat offload to send Jordan Darwin under the posts to score with Darwin also converting.
Brook became sloppy and Fyrston took advantage to get back into in the game with two tries of their own on 50 Minutes Jae Priest added his second try with Andy Speake converting and later Brandon Ward scored an unconverted try in the corner leaving Brook clinging on to a slender lead.
The home side settled down and were soon back on the attack and on the visitors try line where Danny Fairhurst found James Whalley who scored his first try at Open age level with Darwin again converting from under the posts.
Back to back tries saw Brook race into 14 point lead good work from Jack Wilson it was Dan Parkes that broke away he was tackled close to the try line however a quick play the ball allowed the space for Mike Wynn to skip his way over the try line with Darwin again converting.
Brandon Ward crossed for the visitors leaving Brook with a nervy last 10 minutes however the defence held firm to see them through.
Mike Wynn was selected as The Heatrek Man of the Match with Reece Jackson taking the players Tisdalls Man of the Match.
Brook are strengthened by the addition of youngsters James Whalley Luke Marsh and Joe Woods and the return from long term injury of Mike Wynn and jack Wilson are looking forward to a better 2022 campaign.
