Blackbrook and Latchford not only played each other they had to take on storm Hannah also as the game was played in torrential rain and a gale force wind blowing straight across the pitch throughout the 80 minutes.
Handling the ball difficult to say the least and kicking almost impossible however credit to both teams who coped the best they could with the conditions and produced a nail-biting end to the contest.
It was always going to a forwards contest with the experienced Ian Honey leading Brooks pack along side Jack Wilson whose powerful running was making the hard yards into the Latchford territory. Danny Brown was leading the way for the visitors.
Brook took the lead on the half hour mark from an attacking scrum Lewis Gartland set up Dan Parkes who sent on the blind side and dummied his way over for an unconverted try.
It remained 4-0 until the 55th minute when Ben Legge broke clear of his tacklers to race away from 40 metres to score under the posts with Aaron Hewitt adding the extras.
Brook had lost influential Full Back Jordan Darwin at half time bolstered the pack as the Warrington outfit had the majority of the possession Youngsters Reece Jackson and Lewis Martin together with Chris Springford and Cammy Tunstall worked overtime to keep the visitors out.
Brooks line was finally breached with 5 minutes remaining when Jake Ashall scored a close range try with Jake Ashton converting from under the posts.
Blackbrook responded a superb tackle bursting run from Jack Wilson almost sealed the game however he was pulled down a metre short.
Latchford hit back and had a repeat set of attacks close to the line however Brook held out to remain unbeaten in this Seasons League campaign.
Ian Honey was selected as the Heatrek Man on the Match with Jack Wilson taking the Tisdalls Players Man of the Match.
