Brook showed no mercy scoring 16 tries in their demolition of lowly Peterlee.
Stephen Parkinson started the scoreboard clicking with 2 tries in the opening 5 minutes. Tries followed in the first quarter of the game from Joe Bate, Sean Richardson and Aaron Hewitt who finished in the corner following a sparkling move that involved Greg Hale and Sam Long on his debut following a pre-season injury.
Greg Hale made the break for Mark Webster’s try and minutes later Brook’s Skipper helped his self to a try as Brook kept the ball alive on the last tackle of their set of six.
Darren Forshaw spotted a gap in the defence to race away for a solo try and just before the half time whistle Danny Parkes lofted a kick into the corner for Aaron Hewitt who leapt the highest to collect the kick and touchdown.
The home side went into the sheds at half time with a 50 point lead.
Plucky Peterlee found some resistance and held Brook at bay for the opening 10 minutes of the second half however Sam Long broke the deadlock with his first try for the club following a break from the ruck by Danny Fairhurst.
Two minutes later Dave Scott sent Stephen Parkinson over for his hat trick try.
Parkinson made the breaks for Brook’s next two tries firstly his inside pass sent Aaron Hewitt over for his hat trick try and minutes later a carbon copy break and pass sent Greg Hale racing away for his second score of the game.
Hale completed his hat trick in the 70th minute and he crossed for his fourth try of the game two minutes later.
With five minutes remaining Prop Josh Glynn strong run towards the posts dragged in the defence allowing the space for Jordy Welsby to stroll over for Brook’s final score of the game with Stephen Parkinson converting for his 13th goal of the Afternoon.
Parkinson equalled his club record of 38 points in game which he achieved in the same fixture last Season.
Stephen Parkinson was selected as both the Tisdalls Man of the Match and the NL Commercials Players Man of the Match ahead of Greg Hale.
Brook’s Team Manager Mark Lee played tribute to Peterlee following the game for their tenacity and the effort they put into the game despite the overwhelming score line.
