A converted try by Hooker Danny Fairhurst 5 minutes from Full Time maintained Brooks impressive start to the season as they returned home from West Yorkshire with a well-earned two points.
Brook to the game to the Lions from the start but they couldn’t capitalize on breaks from Chris Wynn and Greg Hale.
The visitors did take the lead on 10 minutes Winger Aaron Hewitt drifted inside and went on a mazy run that him almost to the try line he was hauled down but with the defence stretched Brook swept the ball right and Deon Cross went over for the opener.
5 minutes later it was all square following piggy back penalties The Lions Full Back Danny Glassell linked up with the play and scored an unconverted try in the corner.
On the half hour mark it was Danny Glassell again who scored a carbon copy try for his second in the same corner.
As half time approached a Danny Fairhurst 40/20 gave Brook possession 10 metres from the try line the visitors had the home sides defence stretched and they kept ball alive on the last tackle for Mark Webster to send Aaron Hewitt over for the leveler.
Brook took play direct up field from the restart and Greg Hale raced through a gap and rounded the Full Back to score an unconverted try giving his side a 12-8 interval lead.
The lead last too long into the Second Half Brook conceded a penalty close to their try the Referee contentiously allowed a quick tap and Scott Glassell went under posts unopposed Joe Fox added the first conversion of the Afternoon.
Five minutes later Brook restored their lead when Ryan Houghton jinked his way under the posts for a well-deserved try with Jordy Welsby adding the conversion.
Brook had the chances to put the game to bed however The Lions dug deep and committed defence managed to keep the visitors from increasing their lead.
It was all square with 10 minutes to go when The Lions created an overlap for Joe Fox to score an unconverted try in the corner.
Two minutes later Scott Glassell edged his side in front with a drop goal. Brook never know when they are beaten and came back to snatch the winner with 5 minutes remaining when Danny Fairhurst burrowed his way over from close range with Jordy Welsby adding the extras.
The Lions had one last assault on Brooks try line Brook held out and a huge 40/20 from Ryan Houghton took play deep into the home sides half for the final whistle.
