Coach Ant Walker had to ring the changes again as player unavailability meant he needed to make 8 changes from the previous Weeks Team. Veteran Forward Ian Buckley was called up to play also Lee Brown and Craig Littler also joined the squad late on Saturday morning and all three paid their part in the amazing win at 4th place Normanton.
Brook opened the scoring in the 5th minute when Jimmy Brown offloaded to Jon Glover who bundled his way to score with Jordan Darwin landing his first of 6 goals.
Ten minutes later Brook were in again as Danny Fairhurst went on the blind side of on attacking scrum to score an opportunist try.
The visitors were unlucky not to increase their lead Jordan Darwin was ankle tapped as he looked likely to score and Cameron Tunstall crossed the try line from the resulting play the ball only to held up as he desperately tried to ground the ball.
Jordan Darwin converted two penalties either side of half time as Brook extended the lead to 14-0.
The home with the vocal backing of the home spectators found a way back into the game James Senkiw found his way over from an attacking scrum with Clark Thompson converting and 5 minutes later Senkiw was in again for an unconverted try following a Brook error.
The Knights completed their comeback and took the lead with their third try in 10 minutes. A kick on the last tackle hit Jimmy Brown flush on the forehead and rebounded into the arms of an attacking player the Referee bizarrely wiped the tackle count clear and within a couple of tackle Big Prop Clark Thompson bulldozed way under the posts with Kieran Bailey adding the extra to give his side the lead for the first time.
Brook’s heads did not go down and hit back with 10 minutes to go a Danny Fairhurst down field kick was fumbled giving an attacking scrum 20 metres out. Centre Mark Webster came on rampaging run directly from the scrum to score a well taken try with Darwin converting.
Jimmy Brown collected the ball from the restart and spotted a gap in the defence he raced away Jordan Darwin supported his break and took the perfectly timed pass to finish off Brooks second try in as many minutes.
Two minutes later the visitors were in again Jamie McCabe chipped the ball over the line on the last tackle he followed his kick to score Jordan Darwin converted both tries as the home crowd fell back into silence.
Jordan Darwin was selected as The Heatrek Man of the Match with Jimmy Brown taking the players Man of the Match.
